He joined the Cape Canaveral, Fla.-based logistics services contractor in July 2014 after a two-decade career that includes head of portfolio strategies for DynCorp International and leadership responsibilities as a private equity investment and operating executive.
Mr. Kitani is a former U.S. Army helicopter pilot and a graduate from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point.
IAP provides logistics, facilities management and professional and technical services to commercial companies, U.S. and international government agencies and humanitarian organizations.
The company has 7,000 employees that work in 27 countries to support agencies and organizations during events such as military operations and natural disasters.
U.S. Veterans magazine named IAP to the publication’s top “Veteran-Friendly” companies list for 2014 and IAP says a quarter of its workforce are veterans.
“Just as it was their duty to serve in theater and elsewhere around the world, it is our duty to find ways to employ their unique combination of leadership and technical skills,” Kitani told Executive Mosaic.
