Executive Mosaic is glad to introduce Frank Finelli, a managing director at The Carlyle Group, as the newest inductee into the Wash100 — a group of influential leaders in the government contracting industry.
His work concentrates on aerospace, defense and government services investments; business acquisitions; and financial reorganizations.
The Carlyle Group reduced its ownership of Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) in November 2014 to 37 percent with a sale of 10 million shares to J.P. Morgan Securities.
Finelli, a 17-year Carlyle Group veteran, is a former legislative assistant to Sen. Dan Coats (R-Ind.) on defense, intelligence and foreign affairs and is also a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel.
During his Army career, he worked with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to carry out the 1997 Quadrennial Defense Review and with the JCS vice chairman to restructure the Joint Requirements Oversight Council.
He is a current member of the Virginia Veterans Services Foundation, the U.S. Army Historical Foundation’s finance committee, the Council on Foreign Relations and the Business Executives for National Security group.
Executive Mosaic offers its congratulations to Frank Finelli and the The Carlyle Group team for their receipt of this award.
This year represents our fifth annual Wash100 award selection. The Wash100 is the premier group of private and public sector leaders selected by Executive Mosaic's organizational and editorial leadership as the most influential leaders in the GovCon sector. These leaders demonstrate skills in leadership, innovation, achievement, and vision.
