Executive Mosaic is honored to announce Sheldon Fox, group president of government communications systems at Harris Corp, as the newest inductee into the Wash 100, the premier group of leaders who create value for the American public and execute strategic vision at the intersection of the public and private sectors.
Fox has worked for Harris for close-to-30 years and the company credits him with positioning the firm on ‘nationally important’ platforms and programs as he grew through the executive ranks to hold positions including vice president of programs for DOD communications systems, VP and general manger of DOD programs within his current group and president of Harris’ defense program business unit.
Under Fox’s leadership, Harris has expanded its collaboration with industry partners and the geographic location of its clients, for example adding Norway-based subcontractor Jotron AS on an Army award to support air traffic control communications shortly after winning work to update air traffic control systems at airports in the Dominican Republic and Uruguay.
Harris was also selected by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency to mentor Spatial Data Integrations Inc. in remotely sensed data processing and other data collection and leads a team as a prime contractor on the 5-year Global Tactical Advanced Communication Systems IDIQ, which is worth up to $10 billion to all contractors through the Army’s Program Executive Office – Command, Communications and Control.
Executive Mosaic extends its congratulations to Sheldon and the rest of the Harris organization.
This year represents our fifth annual Wash100 award selection. The Wash100 is the premier group of private and public sector leaders selected by Executive Mosaic's organizational and editorial leadership as the most influential leaders in the GovCon sector. These leaders demonstrate skills in leadership, innovation, achievement, and vision.
