Dan Johnson of General Dynamics Named to 2016 Wash100 for Platform & Services Program Leadership

Johnson_Dan_wash100_2016Executive Mosaic is honored to introduce Dan Johnson, executive vice president for the information systems and technology segment at General Dynamics, as an inductee into the 2016 edition of the Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of influential leaders in the government contracting arena. This is Johnson’s second consecutive year for receiving this recognition.

Johnson supervises the more than 40,000-employee IS&T group that offers platforms and services to the commercial and government sectors and concurrently leads the segment’s information technology business unit as president, a role he was appointed to in April 2008.

Revenue in the IS&T group represented approximately 28 percent of General Dynamics’ overall sales for 2015.

Range Generation Next, a joint venture of General Dynamics and Raytheon, landed a potential $1.5 billion contract in early 2015 to support vehicle launches and provide other operations support for U.S. launch ranges in Florida and California.

Johnson said at the time that the team would aim to apply processes and lessons from past projects to help the launch facilities carry out their missions.

He also held leadership roles at Anteon before General Dynamics acquired the simulation technology maker in 2006 and is also a veteran of BearingPoint and KPMG.

Johnson spent six years in the U.S. Navy before he moved to the private sector.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Dan Johnson and the General Dynamics team for their selection to receive this award.
