Vencore President & CEO Mac Curtis Named to 2018 Wash100 for Merger and Acquisition Leadership

Executive Mosaic is pleased to announce Vencore President and CEO Mac Curtis as an inductee into the 2018 edition of the Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of influential leaders in the government contracting arena–for his work on leading and maintaining a company 4,000 strong providing innovative engineering and analysis to the intelligence community, and his demonstrated skill in merger policy.

Curtis oversees 4,000 people that provide information platforms, analytics and engineering services to defense, civilian, intelligence and commercial clients.

DXC Technology announced in October that it agreed to merge its U.S. public sector business with Vencore and KeyPoint Government Solutions to create an independent, publicly traded contractor within the government information technology services sector.

Mac Curtis, president and CEO of Vencore, will become CEO of the combined entity under a merger deal that is expected to close by the end of March.

“Given our highly-skilled technical talent, differentiated innovation, and decades of strong customer relationships, I am excited to lead our combined company in its next stage of growth,” Curtis said then. “We will leverage our deep mission domain knowledge, leading-edge IP and comprehensive suite of IT solutions to address larger markets and intensify our focus on meeting our clients’ needs in a rapidly changing and attractive marketplace.”

The Federal Trade Commission already approved the transaction, which is still subject to the spin-off of DXC’s USPS business and other customary closing conditions.

Vencore reported in December that it secured approximately $375 million in systems engineering and integration contracts during the third quarter of 2017. The company also renewed its accreditation to continue to serve as a third-party assessment organization for cloud-based technology platforms under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.

In 2017, Vencore filed for an initial public offering with the Securities and Exchange Commission to raise up to $250 million. That April, the company won a prime position on a potential five-year, $980 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency for technical support services.

Two months prior to that, Vencore received a potential $113 million contract from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to provide systems engineering services for NOAA’s National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service.

“We are honored to work with NESDIS, which plays such an integral role in managing critical space assets that make important contributions to environmental resource management and our national security,” Curtis said then.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Mac Curtis and the Vencore team for their selection to receive the award.
