SAIC Defense Head Bob Genter Accepts Wash100 Award From Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson

Bob Genter, president of the defense and civilian sector at Science Applications International Corp., received his first-ever Wash100 award during Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson's recent visit to the SAIC headquarters.

The recognition signifies Genter's leadership in IT and engineering areas and his notable contributions that helped drive government contracting sector growth.

Under Genter's leadership, SAIC won significant defense contracts including a $757 million software development and management project with the U.S. Army Enterprise Service Desk. The company also landed a $200 million task order to assist the branch in its Forces Command G-2-Intelligence, Intelligence Warfighting Function

SAIC also booked IT service contracts from the Naval Information Warfare Center’s Pacific Shore Networks Branch in San Diego and the U.S. Transportation Command. Its civilian projects include a $150 million blanket purchase agreement with the Transportation Security Administration for assessing airport security screening and non-screening systems.

“Bob's direct style and forceful presence project confidence that is easy to identify as impressive leadership," Garrettson said of the first-time honoree.
