Allocore’s Bill Webner Bags 2nd Wash100 Award for Innovation in Federal Lending

About Bill Webner

Webner, a seasoned executive in the GovCon sector, has dedicated over two decades to advancing public sector management and technology consulting. He began his career as an analyst at Freddie Mac, where he honed his skills in financial analysis and operations. Webner then joined Booz Allen Hamilton, ascending to executive roles that saw him oversee the firm’s federal finance, health and transportation sectors. 

In 2014, he transitioned to Capgemini Government Solutions as vice president, later becoming the Chair, president and CEO. During his tenure, he was instrumental in driving the company’s growth and expanding its footprint in the federal market. Webner holds a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University, a Master of Liberal Arts from St. John’s College and an MBA from The George Washington University.

In June 2024, Webner took on a new challenge as the CEO of Summit Technology Group’s Public Sector division, a company specializing in cloud-based platforms for government, regulatory, and financial workflows. His leadership is expected to further enhance the company’s innovative solutions for federal clients.

Throughout 2024, Webner spearheaded several key initiatives aimed at modernizing federal financial systems. He emphasized the urgent need to replace outdated legacy systems used in federal grant and loan programs, advocating for the adoption of advanced technologies to enhance efficiency and security. Under his guidance, Summit Technology Group introduced artificial intelligence capabilities to its federal loans and grants platforms, aiming to automate processes, improve fraud detection, and bolster security measures. This initiative reflects Webner’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology to address complex governmental challenges.

In November 2024, recognizing the evolving needs of the public sector, Summit Technology Group rebranded itself as Allocore. This strategic move, led by Webner, was designed to better align the company’s identity with its mission of providing unified, cloud-based solutions for government financial workflows. Allocore’s platforms now support a wide range of functions, from loan origination and servicing to grant management and fraud detection, ensuring efficient and secure processing of government funds.

Webner’s leadership and contributions to the government contracting industry have been widely recognized. In 2024, he was honored with his first Wash100 Award, which acknowledges influential leaders in government and industry sectors. This accolade was a testament to his innovative approach and significant impact on the federal technology landscape.

Further solidifying his standing in the industry, Webner was elected to the board of directors of the Professional Services Council in December 2024. This role allows him to collaborate with other industry leaders to advocate for policies that enhance the government contracting environment. His election to the PSC board underscores his peers’ respect and his influence in shaping the future of government services.
