2024 Carahsoft Contracts Under Abod’s Leadership

Carahsoft’s notable contract awards during the past year include spots on several multiple-award deals such as a potential $975 million contract with the Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office to help ensure the operational readiness of deployed weapon systems; a potential $848.4 million blanket purchase agreement with the U.S. Navy for Red Hat software licenses; a $194.5 million contract with the General Services Administration for the procurement of next-generation identity proofing capabilities for Login.gov; and a $145.9 million BPA to provide the Navy with Appian software and hardware and IT support.

With Abod at the helm, Carahsoft is also the recipient of a follow-on task order worth $284.2 million from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency for continued support of the Department of Defense Enterprise Software Initiative; a $261.2 million BPA, also under the DOD ESI but via the General Services Administration’s Multiple Award Schedule contract, for risk management software from Forescout in support of the DOD and the Coast Guard; and a potential $172.8 million BPA with the Department of the Navy for VMware by Broadcom products and services.

Offering Products and Services to the Public Sector

Through the past year, Carahsoft had also partnered with multiple companies to make their offerings available to the public sector. These partners include Shift5, to offer its operational technology platform to DOD customers and state and local transportation agencies; PIXM, to distribute its anti-phishing offering; SAS, to market its suite of analytics, artificial intelligence and data management products; Forescout Technologies, to make its cybersecurity software and services available via the DOD Enterprise Software Initiative; and Groq, to distribute its AI inference offerings.

Also, in support of the sale of independent software vendor offerings to public sector buyers, Carahsoft launched in June an AWS Marketplace-powered digital storefront dubbed CarahCloud Marketplace. Commenting on the launch, Abod said the digital storefront “simplifies the customers’ acquisition process for their cloud-based products available in AWS Marketplace, offering flexible payment terms and options to purchase from their preferred Marketplace channel partner through a single motion.”

Further praising the Carahsoft president’s accomplishments, Garrettson said, “Craig’s vision and drive have made Carahsoft the go-to partner for agencies looking to stay ahead of the curve. Few leaders shape the GovCon landscape like Craig, and year after year, he keeps raising the bar.”

Sharing the Honor With Partners

Commenting on his latest win, Abod said, “I am honored to have our work and commitment to this market recognized again by the Wash100. We share this recognition with our vendors, resellers, managed service providers and integrators who have allowed us to partner with them to support our public sector customers. Together we will continue to bring our scale and growth to navigate the government’s new priorities in 2025 and beyond.”

Executive Mosaic congratulates Abod and his team for this remarkable achievement.
