The Wash100 Award’s Popular Vote competition continues to heat up as industry leaders and public officials compete for the top spots. As Week 4 concludes, familiar names remain dominant, while some contenders are making notable progress.
The Top 10
Scott Edwards, CEO of Summit 7 Systems, continues to hold a commanding lead with 632 votes, solidifying his position as the frontrunner. Bill Webner of Allocore surged to second place with 463 votes. SAIC President Toni Townes-Whitley stays in third place with 408 votes, reflecting continued support from the government contracting community.
DeEtte Gray of CACI holds steady at fourth place with 363 votes, followed closely by Elon Musk, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO now associated with the Department of Government Efficiency, at 345 votes. Gen. Charles Brown Jr., the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, remains a significant force in sixth place with 336 votes.
CACI’s John Mengucci secures the seventh spot with 325 votes, demonstrating a strong presence in the industry. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem follows closely in eighth place with 302 votes. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth sits in ninth with 291 votes, and State Secretary Marco Rubio rounds out the top 10 with 290 votes.
Other Notable Contenders
While the top 10 remains competitive, several candidates outside are gaining momentum. White House Border Czar Tom Homan is just outside the top ranks at 255 votes, followed by Venice Goodwine of the Department of the Air Force with 246 votes.
Earl Stafford Jr. of Aperio Global holds 237 votes, and CIA Director John Ratcliffe continues to gain support with 228 votes. The DOD Office of the Chief Information Officer’s Juan Ramirez at 227 votes, while Rohit Gupta of Aretum follows with 223 votes.
