Judi Dotson, Booz Allen’s Global Defense Sector President, Lands on 2023 Wash100 List for Consulting Service Leadership

Judi Dotson, president of the global defense sector at Booz Allen Hamilton, has been chosen to the 2023 edition of Executive Mosaic's Wash100 list of consequential leaders that drive the government contracting ecosystem and execute their vision to deliver growth results to their organization.

Dotson has worked with defense and civilian clients throughout her 34-year career with the management and technology consultancy. She succeeded Karen Dahut, a three-time Wash100 winner who retired from Booz Allen at the end of October 2022 and now serves as CEO of Google's public sector organization.

Booz Allen President and CEO Horacio Rozanski announced Dotson's promotion to lead the company's defense business during its July 29 earnings call. She took on the role after leading the firm's national security sector for two and a half years.

The McLean, Virginia-based company sought to accelerate its national security market growth by acquiring EverWatch through a deal that closed in October.

“Combining Booz Allen’s mission experience and advanced technologies with EverWatch’s classified software development and analytics capabilities will help implement faster and more comprehensive solution delivery to help defense and intelligence agencies transform and stay ahead of threats," the first-time Wash100 inductee said of the deal last year.

Also in October, Booz Allen debuted its HELworks business to develop directed energy and high-energy laser systems for the military sector.

The company expanded its work in the defense sector by partnering with Armaments Research Company to demonstrate the use of a 5G-powered weapons sensing and data sharing system to support Department of Defense testing efforts at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

The partnership with ARC follows a collaboration with autonomous software maker AEye to advance the adoption of the 4Sight remote sensing system for aerospace and defense applications.

Earlier in her career, Dotson managed Booz Allen's Joint Combatant Command account and worked with DOD components such as the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and the Defense Information Systems Agency.

She was named one of the top government consultants in The Consulting Report.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Judi Dotson and the Booz Allen Hamilton team for their 2023 Wash100 win. Vote for Dotson and your other favorite winners at Wash100.com by April 28!
