Capgemini’s Doug Lane Recognized in 2023 Wash100 for Post-Acquisition Integration Leadership

Executive Mosaic has featured Doug Lane, CEO of Capgemini Government Solutions over the past nine years, in the 2023 Wash100 list of leaders who drive and shape the federal contracting marketplace.

This marks the second consecutive year and third time overall that Lane has gained recognition during the 10-year history of the Wash100 Award.

In a September 2022 video interview, Lane told Executive Mosaic that Capgemini aimed to gain access to federal contracts and programs through the acquisition of information technology services provider VariQ.

"The way we looked at it was that our integration activities would be around trying to accelerate those positives in the business as quickly as we could, so we worked very hard to get most of the integration accomplished by the end of Q1," he said.

Under his leadership, Capgemini Government Solutions won a three-year contract to help the U.S. Army's update, expand and manage the branch's common shared services in a cloud environment.

"The cARMY project allows the Army to empower teams to make better data-driven decisions," Lane said in August last year.

In December 2022, the nearly 36-year consulting and IT industry veteran was elected to the Professional Services Council's executive committee.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Doug Lane and the Capgemini team on their 2023 Wash100 win.
