ECS President John Heneghan Receives 2022 Wash100 Award From Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson

John Heneghan, president of ECS, was presented his 2022 Wash100 Award, by Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson during a recent visit to the company’s office.

Executive Mosaic recognizes John Heneghan as a first-time recipient of the most prestigious award in all of government contracting (GovCon) for his leadership and driving company growth for the company’s continued success for the rest of 2022 and beyond. Heneghan has also been a leading force in the advancement of ECS’ IT modernization capabilities.

“John Heneghan, a well rounded and seasoned leader, has been able to take the helm of ECS, continue its rapid growth, incrementally add six acquisitions and maintain the market leading position of ECS in multiple segments of GovCon,” Garrettson explained. “An impressive balancing act and near seamless integration.“

Most recently, ECS announced on Thursday that the company will help the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) under  a recompete blanket purchase agreement to develop and execute its aviation and marine fleet recapitalization plans.

ECS will help the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) develop and execute its aviation and marine fleet recapitalization plans under a recompete blanket purchase agreement that has an initial value of $61.3 million.

ECS detailed that the BPA includes integrated logistics and specialty services, strategic planning for technology programs, concept development and requirements analysis, acquisition and lifecycle management and system design, engineering and integration assistance in support of NOAA’s office of marine and aviation operations.

“The Fleet Recapitalization effort remains critical for OMAO as the Office works to optimize its fleet capabilities, including developing and implementing uncrewed systems,” said Heneghan, who also noted that the company has been supporting NOAA’s mission requirements for 25 years and the BPA award marks the continuation of that partnership with the agency.

During a recent Executive Spotlight interview with ExecutiveBiz, John Heneghan discussed the most notable improvements in innovation across the federal sector as well as ECS' efforts to expand into new markets and ensure the long-term success of its workforce.

“We help our customers identify the information needed to be collected and analyzed to enable real-time threat and risk-driven actions,” Heneghan explained. “We help them dynamically manage and control user access and the data they are accessing. With solutions like ECS’ managed security platform and Pathfinder, we are able to model, configure, collect, and understand the end-to-end trust chain.”

Executive Mosaic is proud to recognize ECS and John Heneghan for being named a 2022 Wash100 Award recipient. As a first-time winner of the most coveted award in GovCon, Heneghan has demonstrated a level of success in our industry and is anticipated to continue that momentum for ECS and drive further contributions to the GovCon community.
