Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic, Presents Julian Setian, President and CEO of SOS International, His First Wash100 Award

Jim Garrettson, founder and CEO of Executive Mosaic, presented Julian Setian, president and chief executive officer of SOS International, with his first Wash100 Award on Wednesday.

Executive Mosaic recognizes Setian for leading acquisitions and military contracts to help grow SOSi’s client base and expand into cybersecurity, data analytics and software development. We are ecstatic to present the most coveted award in government contracting to Setian.

Setian joined SOSi, founded by his mother, in 1995 and became the CEO in 2001. Since joining the company, Setian has managed numerous programs for the intelligence community and national security and grown SOSi into one of the largest private, family-owned and operated firms in the defense and aerospace industry.

Setian is also the founder and chairman of EXOVERA and SODEVCO, two affiliated businesses in the technology and extractives sectors:. He’s a member of the Business Executives for National Security, the Association of the U.S. Army and the National Defense Industrial Association.

He serves on the board of directors and executive committee for the Professional Services Council and the executive committee of the Washington D.C. chapter of the Young Presidents Organization. Setian earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Columbia University.

The Wash100 award, now in its sixth year, recognizes the most influential executives in the GovCon industry as selected by the Executive Mosaic team in tandem with online nominations from the GovCon community. Representing the best of the private and public sector, the winners demonstrate superior leadership, innovation, reliability, achievement and vision.
