Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson presented Doug Wagoner, CEO and president of LMI, his 2022 Wash100 Award during a recent visit to the company’s corporate headquarters in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
This marks the third-time in the illustrious and prestigious history of the Wash100 Award that Doug Wagoner has received the highest honor in government contracting (GovCon) for his visionary leadership to significantly drive company growth and expand technological capabilities for its federal portfolio.
“Doug Wagoner brings years of trusted management success to lead and transform LMI into a $1 billion player in the highly competitive research, logistics, AI support as well as the test and evaluation prowess,” said Garrettson. “In addition to LMI’s aggressive topline growth, Doug has built a scalable management team and locked in critically important agency relationships.”
Most recently, the Defense Health Agency awarded LMI the OMNIBUS IV $10 billion contract in research and development; research and development support services; regulatory processes; and translational science support and services.
Wagoner enumerated LMI's contributions to the government’s conception of “infectious disease, genomics, emerging technology and many other scientific fields” with its DHA partnership.
“I am proud of the value-added services and technical thought leadership, innovation, and objectivity LMI provides to the Defense Health Agency,” said Wagoner.
During a recent Executive Spotlight interview with ExecutiveBiz, Doug Wagoner specifically mentioned LMI’s intent to grow in the federal health and intelligence sectors in order to balance out the company’s portfolio to drive its growth through the upcoming budget swings. Wagoner also discussed the long term growth plan for LMI heading into 2025.
“The ultimate goal is top of the line growth that also leads to more customers as well as greater capabilities to sustain our growth momentum into 2025 and beyond,” Wagoner explained. “We have to supplement our growth in the coming years…We need to supplement our organic growth with acquisitions. We’ve been and will continue to be very active in evaluating acquisitions.”
