Q&A With GovCon Expert Kevin Plexico, SVP of Information Solutions at Deltek, Discusses Significant Impact of $10B JEDI Contract Cancellation

Kevin Plexico, senior vice president of Information Solutions with Deltek, was featured on Monday in a highly informative Q&A session with ExecutiveBiz.

Plexico, a 2021 Wash100 Award recipient and GovCon Expert, discussed the potential short and long-term implications of the recent cancellation of the Pentagon’s $10 billion Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI) contract on the federal landscape.

Here’s an excerpt from Kevin Plexico sharing his thoughts about the immediate impact that federal companies and leaders will need to adjust to after the JEDI cloud contracts’ cancellation and the introduction of Joint Warfighter Cloud Capability (JWCC) to continue multi-cloud development and implementation across the federal sector as a whole.

“At this point, it appears companies will need to assume a multi-platform environment and approach it agnostically. In the near term, the cancellation will likely have the downstream effect of putting some projects depending on the JEDI platform, on hold or delaying them, until defense agencies have a better line of sight on what environment they will be in.”
