Tina Dolph, President amp; CEO of Siemens Government Technologies, Named to 2020 Wash100 for Commitment to Revenue Growth and Company Acquisitions

Executive Mosaic is honored to present Tina Dolph, president and CEO of Siemens Government Technologies, as an inductee into the 2020 edition of the Wash100 Award for her continued dedication to company expansion and technical innovation to provide sustainability across the U.S.

This marks Dolph’s second consecutive Wash100 Award. She won her first award in 2019 through her efforts to modernize energy systems for military facilities. Additionally, she demonstrated a deep understanding of government finance, strategy and operations. She’s also supervised multimillion-dollar contract awards for Siemens.

Her dedication to the company and its mission has continued to progress throughout 2019. Most notably, Dolph helped secure three acquisitions to expand the company’s digital enterprise, power reliability and technological security in the upcoming year.

Dolph helped drive new revenue for Siemens through the acquisition of KACO new energy GmbH, one of the leading manufacturers of energy-related power electronics, to strengthen its knowledge about decentralized energy in March 2019.

KACO new energy has been integrated in the new Smart Infrastructure Operating Company with Siemens’ strength in electrification and buildings, which has enabled the company to thrive in the market and continue to expand in the areas of decentral energy, renewables, storage and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

“With this acquisition, Siemens gains access to the latest technology, while KACO new energy will benefit from the resources required to scale up. Together, we will be able to apply the technology in exciting growth segments,” Siemens stated.

In addition, Dolph orchestrated the acquisition of Edge technology from Pixeom in October 2019 to strengthen Siemen’s Industrial Edge portfolio by adding software components for Edge runtime and device management.

Siemens Industrial Edge will enable the flexible provision and use of apps, simplifying the analysis of data locally at the machine and send relevant data to the higher-level Industrial Edge Management System for global analytics.

The company will continue to expand its Digital Enterprise portfolio and has integrated cutting-edge technologies for the digital transformation of industry under the agreement.

Dolph also played an integral role in the acquisition of Russelectric, a leading U.S. manufacturer of power control systems including paralleling switchgear and automatic transfer switches, which closed in March 2019. The agreement will provide complementary electrical power portfolios and additional service organizations.

Since the company merged with Russelectric, Siemens has addressed the growing power reliability, security and affordability needs across critical markets like data centers, public infrastructure and healthcare. The purchase will also add over 50 manufacturing, R&D and digital hubs and its 50,000 U.S. employee base to advance Siemens growth throughout 2020.

In addition, Dolph has played a central role in securing defense contracts for Siemens that have driven the company’s revenue and service with the military. Dolph closed a $828.8 million task order from the U.S. Navy to build, operate and maintain energy conservation systems at Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in July 2019.

Siemens will continue to update the naval base’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning, lighting, refrigeration, energy storage, renewable energy photovoltaic, water management and control systems throughout 2020.

In November 2019, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers named Siemens among the 14 companies that can  compete for utility monitoring and control systems procurement and installation orders through a potential seven-year, $1.20 billion contract.

Executive Mosaic commends Siemens and Tina Dolph for her 2020 Wash100 Award. Dolph’s dedication, strong leadership, and company expansion prove that she should be a significant figure in the GovCon sector moving forward.
