Chuck Prow, Vectrus President & CEO, Named to 2020 Wash100 for Leading Company Growth Through Contracts, Acquisition
Executive Mosaic is honored to present Chuck Prow, president and CEO of Vectrus, as an inductee into the 2020 Wash100 Award for leading the company to drive company growth through big contract awards, acquisition and continued excellence in the government contracting (GovCon) sector.
This marks the sixth-time that Prow has won a Wash100 Award in the seven years of the award’s history. He secured his 2019 Wash100 Award for securing major contract awards and expanding Vectrus’ position with numerous federal agencies.
Under his leadership, Vectrus continued its success in the federal market securing major contract awards to expand the company’s portfolio and grow its business.
Most notably, the company won a spot on a potential ten-year, $82 billion contract from the U.S. Army’s Logistics Civil Augmentation Program V (LOGCAP V) in April 2019 to compete for military logistics support task orders.
Regarding the contract award, Prow said in an interview with Inside Defense that the company is open to additional acquisitions to bolster its capabilities or customers.
“With these LOGCAP V results, we're going to be a significant player in the [U.S. Indo-Pacific Command] region for a long time," Prow said. "That actually provides us an opportunity to expand the aperture of the potential acquisitions that we’re considering."
In addition, Vectrus also received a $134.5 million contract modification in Jan. 2020 to continue to help operate and secure a U.S. Army Installation in Kuwait. The company will base operations support and services at Camp Arifjan through Sept. 28, 2020. The contract modification was orchestrated out of a $547.6 million contract from the service branch to Vectrus in March 2019.
Vectrus also purchased integrated electronic security systems provider Advantor Systems for $44 million from McCarthy Capital and Infrasafe in July 2019. Prow said that the acquisition builds up the company’s presence as an innovator in the emerging converged infrastructure market and expands its geographic footprint and client base.
“Bringing decades of knowledge, experience, and technology that protects some of our nation’s most critical facilities and bases, this acquisition extends our maintenance of facilities to the electronic protection and security of facilities,” Prow stated.
Vectrus used its existing credit facility and cash on hand to fund the transaction, which came more than a year after the company acquired SENTEL to grow its client base in the intelligence and federal civilian markets and expand its logistics, information technology and technical service offerings for customer agencies.
Prow’s leadership also led to Vectrus being recognized as a 2020 Military Friendly Employer by VIQTORY for the sixth time since 2003.
Executive Mosaic congratulates Vectrus and Chuck Prow for his 2020 Wash100 Award. Prow’s role in the GovCon industry is one of the many reasons for its success. His commitment to company growth, M&A and driving innovation has established Vectrus as a top company in the sector.
