In 2024, Judi Dotson, president of the global defense sector at Booz Allen Hamilton, has earned a reputation for making Wash100 history. In March, she became the first Wash100 recipient in the award’s 11-year history to receive over 1,000 votes in the popular vote competition. Then in May, she was crowned the winner of the popular vote.
In a recent video interview with Executive Mosaic, Dotson spoke about her experience winning the popular vote competition and shared what being a Wash100 Award winner means to her as a GovCon executive.
“There’s no place that I can think of that has a stronger set of leaders committed to a common set of missions. We feel so, so passionate about helping our warfighters, about helping our government. I look at the list and I am in such great company. It’s really an honor just to be a part of it,” Dotson said.
The Booz Allen executive noted that the popular vote competition received plenty of attention internally, and she thanked her Booz Allen colleagues for rallying behind her and fellow Wash100 Award winner Steve Escaravage throughout the race.
“I want to thank anybody who went out and voted, whether you voted for me or somebody else. It’s a lot of fun,” shared Dotson.
Dotson earned her second consecutive Wash100 Award in 2024, and she met with Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson to receive the accolade in June.
