Maxar Reports $202M in Government Mission Support Contracts; Dan Jablonsky Quoted

Maxar Technologies announced on Monday that the company was awarded up to $202 million in mission support contracts with the U.S. government in the first quarter of 2022.

The total of $202 million in government contract awards, valued over a six-year period, includes 27 award wins across nine government agencies. Eight of those agencies are working with Maxar on the latest capabilities to drive the critical missions for the Department of Defense and the intelligence community.

“Maxar is honored to support U.S. defense and intelligence customers by delivering a breadth of mission-critical geospatial intelligence and related technologies,” said Maxar CEO Dan Jablonsky, who received a 2022 Wash100 Award

Some of those key areas include artificial intelligence and machine learning applications, advanced data analytics, software development, data conditioning as well as geospatial production and dissemination, maritime domain awareness, and training and development.

“We're proud to kick off 2022 with a flurry of new and renewed partnerships with our U.S. government partners, and we look forward to continue delivering precise, trusted products and technologies in support of national security missions throughout the year,” Jablonsky added.

Dan Jablonsky was presented the most acclaimed and prestigious award in all of government contracting as a recipient of the 2022 Wash100 Award for driving innovation and executing his strategic vision for Maxar.

“Dan Jablonsky has a unique ability to focus on Maxar’s never-ending goal of providing the highest resolution satellite imagery products and GEOINT platform,” said Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the Wash100 Award, about his first Wash100 win.

“3D navigation, natural disaster support, GPS for fighter jets and even scanning asteroids for metals and rare earth demonstrate how one of the most focused leaders in the GovCon business is also one of the guys with the widest field of view for leading Maxar’s strategy into the future,” Garrettson added.
