“Amy earning her eighth Wash100 recognition comes as no surprise—she continues to be a powerhouse in the GovCon industry. GDIT has had a banner year under her leadership, landing major contracts with the Air Force, Army and CMS while strengthening its position as a go-to federal partner,” said Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the Wash100 Award. “Amy maintains a sharp focus on mission success and a relentless drive to push GDIT forward. She’s built a reputation as one of the most respected and influential leaders in the space; year after year, Amy’s stewardship keeps GDIT ahead of the curve.”
Driving Notable Contract Wins for GDIT
Under Gilliland’s leadership, GDIT, in the past year alone, won several contracts worth billions of dollars– one of which is a potential $5.57 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the U.S. Air Force. The IDIQ covers mission partner field support services over a 10-year period.
GDIT is also among the contractors selected for a potential 10-year, $12.5 billion base area network modernization contract from USAF, the potential $33.16 billion Information Analysis Center multiple-award contract to support research and development across the Department of Defense and a potential 14-year, $1.8 billion Customs and Border Protection contract to help modernize the agency’s surveillance tower systems.
Other major contracts for the company include the $922 million Central Command contract for IT infrastructure modernization and the $299 million Defense Information Systems Agency contract for DOD’s network infrastructure support.
Reinforcing Federal Healthcare Support
2024 also saw GDIT’s establishment of the new federal health division focused on providing consulting, technology and mission services to the departments of Health and Human Services and Veterans Affairs, and other federal health agencies. Kamal Narang, senior vice president for federal health, was appointed as its lead.
“Forming this new division reinforces our commitment to provide innovative and differentiated health solutions and services that provide long-term value to our customers,” said Gilliland.
In October, GDIT secured a $286 million contract from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for the continued delivery of operational services to the Benefits Coordination and Recovery Center.
Other GDIT Moves
Gilliland also led GDIT’s acquisition of Iron EagleX to expand its artificial intelligence and cyber capabilities.
“This acquisition demonstrates GDIT’s continued commitment to accelerate innovation for our customers,” commented Gilliland. “Iron EagleX joining GDIT will provide our Special Operations Forces and Intelligence customers with broader capabilities, skills and expertise from both businesses while offering employees greater opportunities for growth and mobility.
GDIT also partnered with the National Alliance on Mental Illness to expand its workplace mental health and wellness initiatives and with George Mason University to broaden its efforts to build skilled and diversified technology workforce.
Highlighting the importance of both partnerships, the GDIT president reiterated the commitment of the company to its workforce and their well-being and growth.
Executive Mosaic congratulates Gilliland and the GDIT team for their 2025 Wash100 recognition and looks forward to her continued contributions to the GovCon sectors in the years ahead. Don’t forget to vote for Gilliland at Wash100.com.
