The Wash100 Awards recognizes executives of consequence. Every year, Executive Mosaic selects 100 individuals who have made significant contributions to the government and government contracting industry while anticipating their future impacts.

“Tony closes out an extraordinary run at Nvidia — and likely his swan song on the Wash100 — at a moment of historic high tide,” commented Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the Wash100 Award, on Robbins’ latest win. “As the federal lead at a company that soared to a $3.3 trillion valuation and, in 2024, became the world’s most valuable publicly traded company, Robbins helped cement Nvidia’s role as a cornerstone of government AI and advanced computing. An eight-time Wash100 winner and a true giant in federal IT, Tony’s leadership, friendship and influence in the GovCon community have shaped an entire era.”

NVIDIA Powers Emerging Capabilities

NVIDIA collaborates with partners across various industries to implement the most advanced technologies to meet critical needs.

Northrop Grumman is an NVIDIA partner in AI. The Falls Church, Virginia-headquartered defense contractor said May 2024 that it will integrate generative AI systems into the development of advanced systems.

“Northrop Grumman is the latest example of how businesses and organizations around the world are increasingly using NVIDIA AI software to deliver on the enormous potential of AI,” Robbins commented when the partnership was announced.

NVIDIA also works with MITRE in the Federal AI Sandbox, which provides a platform for federal agencies to experiment, prototype and deploy advanced AI. The sandbox uses NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD to train and test generative AI, large language models and other tools.

“AI has enormous potential to improve government services for citizens and solve big challenges, like transportation and cybersecurity,” Robbins said.

In addition to Northrop and MITRE, NVIDIA also teamed with Steampunk to accelerate the delivery of AI capabilities to clients. Steampunk, a solutions adviser and consultant, joined the NVIDIA Partner Network in March 2024

As a partner, Steampunk has access to NVIDIA’s portfolio of advanced technologies such as graphics processing units, pre-trained AI models and scaled inference platforms.

“Steampunk implements NVIDIA technology to adapt cutting-edge AI models and techniques for federal use cases, helping dramatically improve mission outcomes for all customer stakeholders while enhancing AI transparency,” Robbins said about the NVIDIA partner.

Leader in Innovation

As a leader in AI, NVIDIA collaborates with research organizations to encourage innovation.

In October, Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh, together with NVIDIA, announced the NVIDIA AI Tech Community. CMU and the University of Pittsburgh will run research centers focused on advancing AI, autonomy and robotics.

The collaboration will enable researchers to utilize an embedded NVIDIA solutions architect and full-stack AI platform, software and computing tools to advance their research.

“This exciting partnership will further accelerate that leadership, bringing together NVIDIA’s expertise in cutting-edge technologies with Carnegie Mellon University’s pioneering AI research to unlock groundbreaking solutions across public and private sectors, including in energy, transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, and more,” according to CMU President Farnam Jahanian.

Anthony Robbins Steps Down as NVIDIA Executive

In February, after more than seven years at NVIDIA and over 39 years in the government technology market, Robbins announced his retirement

His incredible career includes leadership positions at AT&T, Oracle, Brocade, SGI and Falcon Microsystems.

Robbins has cemented himself as a leader who fosters innovation and works toward advancing technology to meet the most critical needs of federal government agencies and the general public.
