Aretum CEO Rohit Gupta Secures First Wash100 Win for Advancing Federal Digital Modernization

Gupta earns his first Wash100 Award for his pivotal role in advancing digital modernization within the government and defense sectors through the strategic utilization of emerging technologies.

The Wash100 Award is an annual recognition of the 100 most influential leaders in the government contracting landscape. It highlights the achievements of executives who have exemplified visionary leadership and strategic thinking in navigating the industry’s complexities.

Advancing Digital Modernization Through Emerging Technologies
As the CEO of Aretum, Gupta has spearheaded efforts to foster digital modernization across the federal and defense markets. In 2024 alone, the government contracting company secured several deals focused on emerging technologies.
In September 2024, Aretum was awarded a contract by the Federal Emergency Management Agency to provide digital transformation efforts to its Office of the Chief Information Officer. The project involved the development of artificial intelligence and customer experience services to enhance the hazard mitigation plans of local governments.
Aretum was one of the contractors selected for the Navy’s SeaPort Next Generation project, which covers the procurement of engineering and program management services, including support for communication systems, munitions research and development and submarine technologies.
The company, along with GCI, also secured a Polaris award in early 2025 to enable government agencies to access advanced information technology services, including systems modernization, digital transformation and emerging technologies.
25 Years of Industry Leadership
Gupta is an industry veteran with 25 years of experience providing management consultancy and mission support services. The Aretum CEO previously served as senior vice president and executive technologist at the government technology services contractor, where he was involved in the company’s emerging technology initiatives. The executive was also a systems architect for multiple government and commercial programs.
Gupta founded the IT services and management consulting firm Artemis Consulting in 1999 serving as its president and chief technology officer. The company provided consulting services to some of the industry’s biggest names, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cognotec, AT&T, Capital One, PerotSystems/TRC and Federal Express.
Rohit Gupta has showcased exemplary leadership and a drive to bring advanced technology offerings to the government sector. All his efforts earned him the esteemed Wash100 Award in 2025.
